Our 2020 results
We thought our achievements in 2019 were phenomenal, but we think we will now look back on 2020 as our true breakthrough year. In the last 12 months, we secured over two gigawatts-worth of capacity for our clients across 80 sites. That’s equivalent to some 6,000 acres, and worth over £200 million in potential project lifetime ground rent.
We’ve also assessed over one gigawatt of connection offers applied for by third-parties, saving many £millions in non-contestable connection offer costs and addressing curtailment risks. One leading, UK-headquartered developer said, “it’s down to your guidance that we’ve managed to salvage over 100MW of problematic projects, and take much more in the correct direction”.
As well as our grid consultancy work for landowners and developers, we’ve been busy advising other businesses and organisations seeking to invest in their own schemes – from 50 kilowatts to 50 megawatts and including solar, wind, storage and renewable heat. Last year we provided feasibility, optioneering, business case development, financial modelling, project management and owner’s engineer services across 65 sites.
Where next?
With new services planned – and a strong focus on our developer, public sector, commercial and industrial markets – we feel like we are only just getting started… so watch this space!
