Roadnight Taylor recognised for people-first excellence with Investors in People Platinum accreditation
At Roadnight Taylor, people are the foundation of everything we achieve. That commitment has now been recognised nationally with Platinum accreditation from Investors in People (IIP), the highest level of recognition and a rare achievement on a first assessment.
Achieving Platinum on a first attempt places us within just 1% of organisations assessed for the first time, and in the top 8% of all IIP-accredited employers. Within our sector, only 9% reach Platinum status. This recognition confirms that Roadnight Taylor is adhering to the highest standards in people practices, and that our people-first culture, built on trust, respect, and shared purpose, can drive exceptional outcomes.
“This recognition feels special because it validates not just what we do, but how we do it. It is a natural outcome of getting the fundamentals right. By being a culture-led business and ensuring it serves the individuals in the team, we are creating the conditions where brilliant people can excel,” said Hugh Taylor, CEO of Roadnight Taylor.
What the team said
What means even more to us is that this recognition came directly from our people. In IIP’s anonymous survey, 100% agreed that Roadnight Taylor is a great place to work, and their feedback tells a story we are truly proud of:
- “I cannot believe that I am lucky enough to work here.”
- “It is an exceptional place to work. You are a person, never a number, and you are made to feel important.”
- “I cannot imagine anywhere else I would want to be. I know it is the best place for happiness, influence, reputation, knowledge transfer, people, and genuine care.”
The assessment
The assessment examines practices across nine key indicators, including leadership, values, empowerment, and continuous improvement. All indicators scored above the IIP average, with particular strength in recognising and rewarding high performance and creating sustainable success.
The assessor commended the impact of several core practices, including the four-day work week that prioritises well-being and a significant annual allowance for personal growth and development. They noted the “pride, energy, and commitment that make this such a special organisation,” adding that it was “a distinctive and compelling culture.”
The assessment confirmed that doing the right thing, consistently and deliberately, creates conditions where people and performance excel together. Our purpose – enabling clients to deliver the essential infrastructure society needs to excel – depends on the calibre, care and commitment of the team.
Looking forward
Thanks to Ciara Aspinall from IIP for her thorough and insightful assessment process. The feedback is valued and the commitment to continuous improvement continues.
Most importantly, thank you to every client and colleague who makes Roadnight Taylor what it is – a culture-led business where expertise, integrity, and human connection combine to create something enduring and extraordinary.
